How long have they been in business in Alpine??
The food was delicious and service was excellent. Young lady that waited on me Lisa was very polite and informed.
MoreSometimes this place can be on point. The last time I went in, it wasn't up to the mark. The biscuit was overworked and a bit tough. There was not enough gravy. I'm not sure why they didn't put the gravy on top of the biscuit, either. They were skimpy on the potatoes which were also overcooked. On the positive side of things, the eggs were perfectly cooked. People who came in after our party of two were served before we were. For someone who hadn't been here before, I would order eggs and toast here and expect a bit of a wait.
MoreGreat food. Service staff were super friendly even while getting slammed with business they remained accomodating and sweet. Super cool place. You can sit down or order at the counter.
MoreSuper cute and quaint until you see the filth in the bathroom. Let's hope the kitchen is not maintained like the bathrooms. Also this filth isn't from customers, mind you, it is simply a lack of care and concern to maintain on behalf of those who work there.
MoreGreat breakfast fair, including healthy options like egg whites on offer. Place was packed and clearly a local favorite.
MoreGood food. You have to get a cinnamon roll, very good.
Slow service overall, decent salad but slices of bread were DRY. Desserts looked awesome but we weren't too impressed.
MoreA group of four of us seated ourselves on a Sunday morning. A waitress came and took our order right away. Our food came out faster than expected, even though there were several other parties dining. The food was all delicious.
MoreWas pretty good. A nice atmosphere and good food. I highly suggest the blueberry pancakes. My only problem was that the blueberry pancakes were cooked that well in the menu.
MoreFood was alright. A little pricey. Fast serviceand friendly staff though.
Great food and great service with that small town, caring feeling.
Pleasantly surprised by our experience, this New Years Day 2018. Anna or server was so sweet, so fast, and so accommodating. Delicious, from scratch cooking, we enjoyed a grilled blueberry muffin, fluffy omelets, beautiful Anadama bread. I’m a New England boy and this ft the bill on a 23 degree holiday in January. Comfy atmosphere and art could only benefit from some funky tunes.
MoreLacey ! Thank you for an amazing morning! Loved everything about being there! The Cinnamon rolls and Omelettes and biscuits and gravy and croissants sandwiches all get a major gold star! Love that you and Jason are setting the legacy in motion of family freedom and care for Nichole and JE and Zach and the crew! Cheers to you all! Cheers and Amen!
MoreNobody working or eating in the restaurant was wearing a mask. Eating here was a nerve-racking experience even though we were outside. The restaurant looked prepandemic. A coffee shop near by had to close because workers tested positive for Covid. They should take their customers health and the pandemic more seriously.
MoreI love her bread and the omelets are amazing. My kids pretty much adore the pancakes and it is our family birthday breakfast date place for several years now. Good service, good food, good lunch. Made from scratch, worth the wait.
MoreFabulous little breakfast place! A bit pricey but worth it.
Great baked goods, .. not a good lunch
Good service. Huge cinnamon rolls.
We each had a huge breakfast and the most perfect view of the mountain.
Great food; quality and quantity. Friendly service. Will definitely come back
I agree with the other review, there aren’t enough stars! This place is awesome. We had breakfast and although they were extremely busy, our service was great. The food was amazing and great coffee!
MoreGood food, good coffee, friendly staff, prices are fair, and a clean facility. What more could you ask for?
MoreGreat breakfast and coffee stop! Eggs, bacon, sausage with all the fixins and delightful pastries.
MoreVery friendly staff. Food good and hot.
Good food, great service, nice building
You could be fooled by the storefront facade into passing this place by, perhaps seeing no hint of the delicious baked goods within. Don’t. The decor is pretty standard with a selection of tables (including some larger communal tables for those more sociable than your reviewer). The service is friendly and efficient. While we were there several people were asked if they wanted “the regular.” Clearly, repeat locals. The baked goods are fresh and nicely done - not too sweet but plenty generous. We took some with us after breakfast and savored them lovingly half way through our 12 mile hike in Big Bend.Be aware of the (to a big city dweller) weird days and hours of opening. Like many businesses in the area, there clearly is not enough custom to open every day of the week during certain seasons. We were there during spring break but, even then, the place was closed (disappointingly) on several days we wished to return.
MoreThis place seemed to have great reviews so my boyfriend and i decided to try it for the first time. We got there at lunch which is served at 11:30( we were trying to get there on time for breakfast but oh well) we decided to have lunch instead. It seemed like forever before the server had noticed us and a couple behind us got their order in before we did and we were ahead of them. When we did finally get our lunch it was okay and little pricey. But anyways i really wanted to try the breakfast here so we decided we would go again in the morning. We got there and order our breakfast well first our waitress confused our breakfast with someone else's (which they apologized for ) and secondly when we got our breakfast it was cold. Finally when we paid for our meal it was more expensive than our lunch from yesterday and from what we had ordered it couldn't have been that price i feel like they ripped us off. Overall we had a bad experience and wouldn't recommend it.
MoreI'm from out of town, and a server. I'm super impressed by this little breakfast stop. The service was phenomenal, our coffee was truly bottomless! Very intimate spot. The food is delicious. I hope to come back again. :)
MoreThe cinnamon roll is the best I’ve ever had. The rest of the food was also excellent; I had pancakes with bacon and eggs and my partner had toast and eggs with grits. The service was friendly and fast! I highly recommend!
MoreFabulous atmosphere, staff and baked goods.
Excellent as always. Can’t beat the hospitality, service and most of all the tastes 🤤
MoreHubby had Cowboy breakfast. I had the French toast. The food was excellent. Very friendly staff. Cute atmosphere. Enjoy!
MoreWait staff excellent! Cook, not so much. Had to add a lot of salt and pepper to get any flavor. Fried potatoes tasted like boiled. Asked for very crispy bacon because I can't stomach the texture of the uncooked fat. Despite the waitress getting him to try again, it still wasn't crisp. Wait staff 5 star. Cook 2.
MoreDelicious breakfast and home-made muffins!
Great breakfast especially bread. Fair price
Great breakfast spot with the best cinnamon roll I’ve ever had! My group had pancakes, eggs, sausage, grits, and bacon - everything was excellent. Fast, friendly service.
MoreThis place is legit! Good brunch and it feels very sincere. We sure were happy to stumble on it during a road trip.
Moreincredible breads. sat down with family and friends for a little on-site picnic. extremely happy with everything we had (breads, egg salad, roast red pepper hummus, coffee, etc.).
MoreIt was good. Lots of coffee and friendly attentive staff.
They use their own hearty bread for their breakfast toast. Potatoes were delightfully crispy and perfectly seasoned. Cinnamon roll put it over the top. Loved this breakfast.
MoreFood and service were great.
I ordered to-go, the Cowboy breakfast for myself and the omelette with ham and mushroom for my wife. The food was really good, the sausage, ham and biscuit and gravy are excellent! The eggs in both meals were just your basic homemade eggs. They did forget the cinnamon roll at first. I went back to get it since it was a 1 minute walk from where we stayed and they were apologetic! Let me tell you, the cinnamon rolls are absolutely the best cinnamon rolls my wife and I have EVER had. Do yourself a favor and try the cinnamon roll!
MoreWe were told not to come here by some locals, but we looked at the menu and place and figured we'd still give it a try. When we walked in, there were 3 occupied tables (so the place wasnt busy) and it was unclear whether we were to seat ourselves, but after standing at the entrance for a good moment and not being acknowledged we assumed it was seat yourself (this was confirmed after we did that and saw a small sign at the counter saying seat yourself). We sat and waited for 10 minutes, and never received a nod, remark, or really any acknowledgement that we were there. We ended up leaving, and as expected, went unnoticed just like when we first walked in.
MoreFood was ok. Portions were very large, I was unable to finish a monster pile of french toast. Average prices. They have some baked goods. Friendly staff. Spacious interior. Floor has a serious trip hazard, there was a worn piece of tape to mark it but I think it needed more than that. Good location on a main street with several shops and cafes nearby. Limited street parking. Decent spot overall for passing through a small town.
MoreGreat food but a little pricey.
Wonderful place
I very politely requested that my omelet be cooked in butter or the avocado oil that I had in hand, rather than the cooking spray that I was told the kitchen used. the waitress came back and said the kitchen “couldn’t”, which i speculate really meant “wouldn’t”. automatic 1 star review.
MoreThe food was good better then expected. Really impressed with the homemade breads and salsa
MoreWe loved it so much we visited twice!
Great food. Great service. ❤️
